ABI has published data regarding the relationship of youth with microfinance.
Here are the statistics collected:

Considering both bids dedicated to students and those for atypical workers, services saving almost 24% goes to the young, for those of credit 22%, 26.2% for the sector and current account services
These are the findings from research conducted ABI on “Financial inclusion financial investigation of the Italian territory. ”

Specifically students should be 13.5% of the savings offered by the microfinance banks, 9% in the case of credit, more than 14.2% if we consider the field of current accounts and payment services. For workers with atypical contracts, in most couples, it should be 10% of the savings services offered, over 13% of the credit, 12% for current accounts and payment services.

The increasing financial inclusion among young people is attested by the fact that, according to the latest ABI monitoring the rate of development by type of customer, bank customers aged up to 25 years increased by 23% in 2007 (by 17% in 2006 ). Compared to an average of 1, 5%, the clientele is young and one that grows more. ATM cards and prepaid account and current packet, followed at some distance in the salary account and the service of internet banking, are the products most in demand.

“Largo ai giovani” as the saying goes.
The statistics of banking is growing, in my opinion thanks to the development of internet.
Payments and online sales almost always require an electronic device that is often offered by institutions that in addition to providing the commercial service and give space to the deposit of money and maybe some small investment.

Add to the payment of salaries through bank transfers or checks without going through the cash and the picture of growth is over.

But it would be interesting to understand the volumes in Euros in question.
